UC-03 · Multi-agent split
Two agents share the commission on the same customer. Each agent’s rate comes from the plan. Their Split % divides the line commission.
Expected result: on a $25,000 sale at 4%, SP1 earns $600 and SP2 earns $400 (total $1,000).
Setup
-
Create a 4%-of-sales plan (as in UC-01, but with Rate Pct = 4).
-
On the Customer Card, in Commission Agents, add two lines for the same scope:
Salesperson Code Split % SP1 60 SP2 40 Leave Ship-to Code blank on both lines (customer-wide). The active splits must total exactly 100%.
Post the invoice
Post a sales invoice for $25,000 of a commissionable item to that customer.
Result
The line commission is $25,000 × 4% = $1,000, divided by each agent’s split:
| Agent | Split | Commission |
|---|---|---|
| SP1 | 60% | 600.00 |
| SP2 | 40% | 400.00 |
| Total | 100% | 1,000.00 |
The app creates two commission ledger entries — one for each agent. Each entry shows the agent’s Rate Pct (4) and their share in Commission Amount.
Notes
- Each agent’s rate comes from the plan or the rate matrix. The split only divides the line commission (rate × split). With a rate matrix, the agents can get different rates — see UC-13.
- A single agent on a scope defaults to 100%. If a customer has no assignment, the commission goes to the document’s salesperson at 100%.
